News|Connecting Performance, Talent and Learning: A Global Brand Activation Group Begins Building an Integrated Talent Development Platform

aTalent has entered into a new partnership with a Hong Kong-headquartered brand activation and experiential marketing group operating across global markets. Together, the two organizations have begun developing a group-wide integrated talent development and learning platform.

As its international business and organizational footprint continue to grow, the client is upgrading its talent management ecosystem. The objective is to connect performance management, talent and succession development, and employee learning—areas that previously operated as relatively separate processes—and establish a more unified, data-driven approach to talent development.

The first phase will cover approximately 1,000 employees across six Asian markets: China, Japan, South Korea, India, the Philippines and Vietnam. It represents an important step toward a more connected approach to talent and learning across regions.

About the Client

A Global Specialist in Brand Activation and Experiential Marketing

The client is a global brand activation and experiential marketing group with capabilities spanning experiential marketing, exhibitions and conference management, and digital experiences.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, the group operates across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and North America and employs several thousand people worldwide.

Within this cross-regional and multi-business-unit environment, the client aims to connect talent data, capability development needs and learning resources more effectively, enabling talent management to better support global collaboration and long-term business growth.

Project Vision

Connecting Performance, Talent and Learning in One Development Ecosystem

The project extends beyond the implementation of a standalone learning platform. It is designed to create an integrated talent development ecosystem across three core areas: performance, talent and learning.

The key components include:**

- Unifying Learning and Capability Development

A group-wide learning portal will support compliance training, employee onboarding, professional skills development and leadership learning. Identified skill gaps will also inform more relevant learning content and development recommendations.

- Connecting Performance with Talent Development

Performance assessment results will feed into talent reviews and nine-box analysis, helping the organization continuously identify high-potential employees, evaluate succession readiness and define priority development areas.

- Moving from Skill Gaps to Learning Recommendations

Skills identified for development through performance and talent assessments will be connected with relevant learning resources. This will create a more continuous process between identifying capability needs and providing development opportunities.

Project Highlights

Enabling More Digital and Visual Talent Reviews

A key objective of the project is to make complex talent management processes more digital, transparent and visual.

Business leaders and HR teams will be able to conduct talent calibration and make adjustments through an online nine-box interface. By combining information on performance, potential and succession readiness, the platform will provide a clearer and more comprehensive view of the organization’s talent.

The platform will also support integrations with Microsoft single sign-on, Microsoft Teams and Outlook. It will be configured for the group’s cross-regional matrix structure, providing appropriate data access and permissions for different markets, business units and management roles.

Building on a skills-driven approach to talent management, the platform will progressively introduce artificial intelligence and intelligent search capabilities to strengthen the connections between roles, skills, people and learning resources.

From Platform Development to a Connected Talent Lifecycle

For global organizations, the value of talent digitalization does not come simply from moving separate HR processes online. It comes from enabling those processes—and the data they generate—to work together.

Performance management identifies capability gaps. Talent management supports potential identification and succession planning. Learning provides employees with the resources needed to develop.

Through this partnership, the client will gradually establish a more unified talent and learning data foundation, supporting cross-regional talent development, succession pipeline planning and long-term organizational capability building.

aTalent will continue to apply its experience in global talent and learning platform implementation to support the development and delivery of the client’s integrated talent ecosystem.
