GoLIVE|10+ Core Talent Modules Launched: How Far Has Weichuan Progressed in Its Talent Management Journey?
This month, Weichuan Foods successfully completed the first phase GoLive of its aTalent Talent Management Platform.

This was not a single-system launch — it marked the comprehensive implementation of key talent management processes, including talent data, competency assessment, talent review, succession, and development planning — all within one unified platform.
Since project kickoff, aTalent and Weichuan have gone through multiple rounds of business alignment and solution refinement, closely tailored to real-world HR needs.
Project Snapshot|Key Modules in the First GoLive Phase
Through collaborative execution, Weichuan went live with 10+ core modules in this first phase, each optimized to enhance HR and managerial efficiency in daily use and strategic decision-making.

• HR master data integration
• Batch export of unified employee profile cards
• Customized talent pool module with dashboard view
• Functional & managerial competency management
• Key events management module
• Job description management (position catalog + data storage)
• Succession management module
• Individual Development Plan (IDP)
• 9-Box talent review meeting module
In parallel, step-by-step training videos were launched to help employees quickly understand system usage — significantly reducing the learning curve.
About Weichuan|A Food Enterprise Balancing Quality and Management
Founded in 1953 and entering Mainland China in 2001, Weichuan Foods has long been a leader in the food, beverage, and dairy sectors. Its well-known brands include *Daily C, Yogurt Drink, Pure Farm Milk, Probiotic Drink,* and *BeneNson Coffee*.
With production bases in Hangzhou, Langfang, and Suzhou, Weichuan’s business now spans China’s major markets. The company has achieved IB, FSSC, ISO, and HACCP certifications, establishing a highly standardized and sustainable operational system.

The Food Industry Reality|Why “Customized Talent Management” Matters More
In the food and FMCG industries, organizations face three typical challenges:

① Fast business pace, widely distributed teams
Production, R&D, sales, and marketing run in parallel.
When systems are fragmented, talent data cannot form a unified view.
② Unified talent standards are needed — but must stay flexible
Companies need a consistent group-wide framework while also adapting to role- and function-specific differences.
③ Talent development must move beyond “theoretical frameworks”
Without data from assessment, review, and succession processes, development planning can’t take root.
For this reason, Weichuan chose to begin with the core modules — completing phase-one launch as an integrated foundation, rather than fragmented deployment, to build a scalable management base.
Platform Implementation|How aTalent Supports Weichuan’s Talent Management
In this project, aTalent focused on addressing Weichuan’s most critical talent management needs — solving three key challenges:

✔ Unifying talent data across systems
By integrating master data and unified employee cards, information is centralized — no longer scattered across spreadsheets and systems — providing a solid base for decision-making.
✔ Building a closed-loop talent development process
Competency models, talent review, succession, and IDP now operate within one platform — reducing duplication and transforming HR actions from “disconnected efforts” to a “systematic process.”
✔ Balancing standardization with flexibility
Under a unified framework, scenario-based configuration and custom functions allow alignment with the unique management needs of each business unit and talent group.
Continuous Co-Building|Making Talent Management Truly Operational

For HR and business leaders, true value lies not in “system go-live” itself, but in whether the organization gains a sustainable management foundation.
Following this launch, Weichuan has established a unified talent data and management framework — providing stability for future assessment, development, and succession.
Next, the teams will focus on integrating with major learning systems and further optimizing the Talent Pool module, deepening capabilities in line with Weichuan’s evolving business pace.
