“The Future of Learning” Global China Summit co-hosted by aTalent and Cornerstone OnDemand (here after refered to as “CSOD”) was successfully concluded on August 10, 2023, at Pudong Regent Hotel, Shanghai.
The event had drawn strong support from BIPO and goFLUENT, and media sponsorship from 36Kr, Jazz Year (甲子光年), and NiuTouShe(牛透社)that we would like to again, give special thanks to our respectable partners.
The summit appealed over a hundred learning and development professionals from global-leading companies, including both globalized Chinese companies (C2G) and foreign companies that value the Chinese market and have put their Asian-Pacific headquarters in China (G2C).
As the theme “The Future of Learning” suggests, the summit delved into the future of learning through three dimensions: industry trends, corporate management, and tool empowerment.
Featured expert speakers from 6 pioneering enterprises in different industries, the summit has invited presenters from Shangri-La Hotels Group, Swire Coca-Cola, smart, IKEA, University of Nottingham Ningbo China, and Sartorious, who shared their sophisticated experience of years in the field of learning and development and their aspirations for the future.
The summit began with an opening speech by Rhys Hughes, Vice President of Regional Vice President – Alliances, APJ.
It was followed by a speech from Kevin Tao, General Manager, Strategy Account at aTalent.
Marc Ramos, Chief Learning Officer of CSOD, delivered a keynote speech on “Reshaping the Future of Learning” via remote connection from the United States.

In the rapidly evolving social environment where learning modes and trends are constantly changing, the speakers, including Leighton Tian, Co-Dean of Shangri-La Academy China, Benny Tong, Head of Organization & Talent Development of Swire Coca-cola, and Chuck He, Project Management and Customer Service Operations Manager at smart, has provided their answers on how an excellent company should adapt to the era and environment, reshape learning experience and effectivity through appropriate management concepts and cutting-edge technologies.

The second half of the summit kicked off with a roundtable discussion initiated by Carrie Thompsett, RVP of CSOD Asia-Pacific. She is joined with Mason Cao, Leadership and Competence Leader at IKEA, Cher Liu, Senior Development and Engagement Manager at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, and Daisy Huang, Director-General Manager of goFLUENT China.
The experts jointly shared and discussed on popular topics in the industry: DEI, ESG, and AIGC etc..
